Olivia Macfadden

I’m a PhD student in Population Health at Northeastern University, specializing in environmental epidemiology. I work with my advisor, Dr. Phil Brown (opens in a new tab), and I’m a member of Dr. Julia Varshavsky (opens in a new tab)’s Epidemiology and Toxicology Lab (opens in a new tab). My research looks at how environmental exposures and a changing climate shape health, and who bears the greatest burden. I also like building tools that make research easier to use. One example is a searchable policy engagement database (opens in a new tab) for environmental epidemiologists.
